The adhan, additionally written as adhaan, athan, or azaan (Arabic: أَذَان‎ [ʔaˈðaːn]) (also referred to as in Turkish: Ezan) is that the Moslem decision to worship, recited by the muazzin at prescribed times of the day. the basis of the word is ʾadhina أَذِنَ which means "to listen, to hear, be told about".
